Department of Revenue Audit Gateway Program is open for applications!

 


The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) is seeking Milwaukee Area Technical College accounting graduates or graduates-to-be!!!

Are MATC Accounting students or alumni looking for an auditing career that offers the opportunity for professional growth, challenging assignments, and career advancement? If so, please share this e-mail! 

Selected candidates are employed as an Audit Gateway Program – Auditor Trainee (Tax Representative 3). This position is full time (40 hours/week) during the summer to complete training, and full-to-part time (minimum of 24 hours/week) during the school year while courses are being completed. Up to six hours a week may be used to complete coursework.


This Trainee level auditor position learns to audit individual income tax returns, credit claims, and have an opportunity to shadow and assist audits being done in the other tax areas of the department.

 

Now is the time to apply! We will be interviewing monthly starting in October 2024, until the positions are filled!


The actual first date of employment will not be until June 2nd, 2025.

AFWA, formerly known as American Society of Women Accountants (ASWA) is the home for all women accounting and finance professionals whether new to the field, experienced or considering a career transition.

The mission of AFWA is to enable women in all accounting and related fields to achieve their full personal, professional and economic potential and to contribute to the future development of their profession.

The Milwaukee Chapter has members of very diverse backgrounds: students, retired, CPAs, non-CPAs, accountants and bookkeepers in industry, public accounting firms, non-profits and business owners. Our well rounded group provides a wide breadth of knowledge and experience for networking, mentoring and exchanging ideas.
